weltweitblick Experiment Switzerland offers volunteering projects in over 15 countries on four continents. We will help you find the perfect project for you. We will take your personal and language skills, your professional background and your travel experiences into consideration. Longstanding contacts with our partners abroad help us to counsel you individually and find just the right project.
Switzerland is a multicultural and multilingual country in the heart of Europe. Sometimes, though, we feel rather like an island. We consider this a chance and a challenge: we want to give students, professionals, young people and grown ups alike the opportunity to leave this island temporarily and meet the world and its people. Not as a tourist but as a volunteer, in an active exchange with other nations, cultures and ways of life.

Strangers become friends
We want your volunteer project to be an unforgettable experience. Everybody who carries enough cash can be a tourist. To go abroad as a volunteer, however, means to travel responsibly. To work against the stereotype of the rich western tourist travelling around the world without ever arriving. As a volunteer, you have the chance to get to know a foreign country and its people from within: To dive into an unfamiliar culture and to immerse yourself in an unknown territory will make strangers turn into friends! Your intercultural exchange contributes to international understanding. You are not a passive onlooker but an active builder: You build up your own private United Nations!
One of the most important principles of the Federation of Experiment in International Living is: people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds understand each other better when they share their daily life, their worries but also their happiness. You learn to understand why the people on this planet are different, and you learn to accept it. It doesn't scare you anymore - like it still does many people who are not in contact with foreigners. One of the central problems of our daily racism is just that: fear of strangers - xenophobia.
Weltweitblick Experiment Switzerland wants to foster intercultural exchange and peaceful togetherness. For this reason we offer volunteering projects on all continents.
The VIP Volunteers for International Partnership program is the well-proven volunteer program of the Federation EIL. Our volunteers are placed all over the world and actively help to make it just a little bit better. Some also call it work and travel (though it is not working but volunteering). Some engage as teaching assistants. Some help in an orphanage. Some do an internship in a hospital before going to medical school at home. It is for high school graduates, college students, young professionals and people of all ages who take an interest in the world past the rim of their national plate. And for those who wish to experience a direct and authentic contact with an unknown country. From A like Argentina to T like Togo we offer you exciting and sustainable volunteering projects all over the world.
In our Thirtyfive-Fifty-Plus Program we take special care of people who are no young students anymore. We try to provide you with a higher standard of accomodation (if possible a single room) and better sanitary conditions. Please ask us to find you such a project placement. Our range of products is constantly growing.
